Uber Freight
We launched Uber Freight in May 2016 when it was just a small, scrappy offshoot of one of the world’s largest transportation companies. The goal of Uber Freight was simple — to bring the magic of Uber’s marketplace technology to trucking and logistics, giving trucking companies access to freight, transparent pricing, and the ability to book a load with the touch of a button, while allowing shippers to leverage an on-demand network of carriers.
By putting truck drivers at the heart of our storytelling, we helped scale the company from a few cities in Texas, to the continental U.S., Canada, and Europe.
Along the way, we highlighted Uber Freight’s strategic milestones, told stories about product and technical breakthroughs, industry transformations, shipper heroics, carrier grit, and propelled Freight’s leadership into the spotlight.
Throughout it all, we’ve worked as an extension of the Uber Freight team — on the ground with truck drivers, in the trenches with sales and marketing, alongside product managers, technologists and executives — to help bring their vision for a world where logistics are simplified and seamless to life.
