D-Wave Systems
Taking quantum computing from science fiction to the real world
When we started working with D-Wave in 2013, the mainstream conversation revolved around whether quantum computing was even real or simply science fiction. D-Wave was the first to introduce a commercially available quantum computer to the world, and as they quickly added high-profile customers, we introduced the world-changing potential of quantum computers to audiences with bold storytelling and a TIME magazine cover that dubbed their computers the “Infinity Machine.”
Seven years later, D-Wave counts the likes of IBM, Google, and Microsoft as its biggest direct competitors. It's no longer a question of whether quantum computing is real.
Today, the question is when — when will quantum computing applications start solving real world problems?
As D-Wave builds its next-generation technologies, we've helped cement them as the leader in application development. Amidst a newly crowded competitive landscape, D-Wave continues to outpace others by helping their customers — including Volkswagen, DENSO, Lockheed Martin, and NASA Ames — develop over 200 early real-world applications, tackling problems from urban traffic optimization to drug development.
